The Army National Guard provides numerous benefits to its members. The financial benefits include tuition assistance and student loan repayment, which can help offset the costs of education. Health and dental insurance are also provided, ensuring that soldiers have access to quality healthcare. After 20 years of service, members are eligible for retirement benefits, providing a secure future.
COMMITMENT
Enlisting in the National Guard involves a three, six or eight-year commitment. Training typically requires one weekend each month with a two-week Annual Training period once each year.
STATE TUITION AND FEE WAIVER
As a member of the National Guard you receive substantial education benefits. While serving part-time and full-time in the Massachusetts National Guard you may be eligible for the State 100% Tuition and Fee Waiver, Federal Tuition Assistance (GoArmyEd), and G.I. Bill benefits.
STUDENT LOAN REPAYMENT
The Guard may pay up to $50,000 to cover your federal student loans. SLRP is available for certain MOS with a six or eight year enlistment commitment.
RELOCATING TO OTHER STATES
Members of the NG are not restricted to the city in which they reside. All members are allowed to move to any city of their choosing. The NG is located in 54 States and territories. This easily enables one to move about at will.

Low-cost life insurance plans up to $400,000 are available to you as a Guard Soldier.

RE-EMPLOYMENT
